Happy Path ("we", "us", or "our") operates Stickers by Happy Path ("the App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the App.
2. Information We Collect
Account Information
When you sign in with Apple, we receive your name and email address (or an Apple-provided relay address if you choose to hide your email).
Location Data
We collect your device's precise GPS location when you use the App. This is required for core features: placing stickers at specific locations and discovering stickers nearby.
User-Generated Content
We store the stickers you create, including their text, emoji, font choices, and the geographic coordinates where they are placed.
Device Information
We collect basic device information such as device model and operating system version for app compatibility and troubleshooting purposes.
3. How We Use Your Information
- Provide the service: Place stickers at locations, display them on the map, and enable discovery of nearby stickers
- Sync your data: Back up your sticker collection across devices when signed in
- Display public stickers: Show public stickers to other users who are nearby
- Customer support: Respond to your questions and requests
- Improvements: Understand how the App is used so we can improve it
4. How We Share Your Information
- Public stickers: Stickers you mark as public are visible to other users who are in the vicinity of where you placed them
- Service providers: We use Firebase and Google Cloud as infrastructure providers to store and process your data. These services act as data processors on our behalf
- No data sales: We do not sell your personal information to third parties
- No advertising: We do not use your data for advertising purposes and do not display ads in the App
- Legal compliance: We may disclose information if required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights and safety of Happy Path, our users, or others
5. Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored on Google Cloud infrastructure through Firebase. We implement standard security measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit and at rest. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account through the App, we will delete your personal data and User Content from our active systems. Some data may be retained in backups for a limited period before being permanently removed.
7. Children's Privacy
The App is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected information from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete that information promptly. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us.
8. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Delete your account and associated data through the App
- Export your data upon request
California residents (CCPA): You have the right to know what personal information we collect, request deletion of your data, and opt out of the sale of personal information (we do not sell personal information). You will not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.
9. Third-Party Services
The App uses the following third-party services:
- Apple Sign In: For authentication. See Apple's Privacy Policy.
- Firebase / Google Cloud: For data storage, authentication, and hosting. See Firebase Privacy and Security.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the App or by other means. The "Effective date" at the top of this page indicates when the policy was last revised.
